Nayagarh, May 8, 2025: Today, the district-level World Red Cross Day was celebrated in Nayagarh with great enthusiasm. The event was jointly organised by the District Red Cross and the Red Cross Volunteers Forum, Nayagarh, under the guidance of the District Collector. The celebrations took place in the conference hall of the District Collector’s office.
The day began with an awareness rally at 6:30 AM, starting from the District Collector’s office and proceeding to Brajendra High School before returning. The rally aimed to spread public awareness about the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. Following this, a formal meeting was held at 8:00 AM, which was attended by several dignitaries. Additionally, a blood donation camp was organized at 9:00 AM, where 30 units of blood were collected, showcasing the community’s spirit of service.
