News Delhi: In a decisive response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where 26 Indian citizens were brutally targeted based on their religion, the Indian government has launched "Operation Sindoor"—a large-scale military strike targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation, named symbolically after the terrorists' desecration of the sindoor (vermilion) of Hindu women victims, has drawn nationwide support, with political leaders across parties largely backing the armed forces while condemning Pakistan’s role in fostering terrorism.
Pakistan Exposed, Says BJP
BJP leader Rohan Gupta asserted that Pakistan's alleged involvement in terrorism has been "completely exposed before the world."He stated, "Pakistan used to deny that its land was used for terrorism, but now it’s clear—their army and terrorists are the same. After yesterday’s visuals, what can Pakistan even say on any international platform? Their territory is a launchpad for terror, and India has presented irrefutable evidence."Gupta further emphasized that this was only the beginning, hinting at more decisive actions.
"The Army and government resolved that this response would be full and final—a message so strong that Pakistan never dares to attack India again."
BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary condemned the Pahalgam attackers for specifically targeting Hindu women by wiping off their sindoor, a sacred marital symbol.
"The terrorists tried to erase the dignity of our sisters, but under PM Modi’s leadership, we ensured justice through Operation Sindoor. Our forces delivered a powerful strike, avenging this humiliation."
Cross-Party Support with Some Exceptions
While most opposition leaders extended support to the government, BJP leaders criticized certain Congress remarks. BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul dismissed Congress leader Udit Raj’s skepticism, calling him "a fool and ignorant." BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra went further, labeling Congress leaders as "traitors," citing Rahul Gandhi’s past statements on China and Pakistan. However, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge expressed solidarity after an all-party meeting. Kharge stated,
"We listened to the details. Defense matters are confidential, and we respect that."
Military Precision & Intelligence Success
Shiv Sena’s Shaina NC praised the armed forces for their precision strikes, stating,"Operation Sindoor showcased our Army, Navy, and Air Force’s coordinated attacks using advanced weapon systems. Intelligence agencies meticulously mapped terror camps in PoK and Pakistan before the strikes."BJP MP Jagdambika Pal mocked Pakistan’s denial of the operation’s success, saying,
"If Pakistan claims the videos are old, they should watch ‘Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne’ (a fantasy show)—because their lies are just as imaginary."
Security Measures & Diplomatic Fallout
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah highlighted heightened security for critical infrastructure like dams, following central directives. He confirmed that most Pakistani nationals flagged by the BJP had been deported, though some sought legal recourse. As global scrutiny intensifies, India’s firm stance has left Pakistan struggling to counter the evidence. With nine terror hideouts reportedly destroyed, the message is clear: India will retaliate fiercely against cross-border terrorism.
A Nation United
BJP MLA Ram Kadam encapsulated the sentiment:"When terrorists attacked our mothers and sisters’ sindoor, India showed them its true power. Under PM Modi and our brave soldiers, Operation Sindoor has sent an unforgettable reply."As tensions simmer, India remains on high alert, with the government vowing zero tolerance for terrorism while political unity strengthens behind the armed forces. The world now watches whether Pakistan will act against terror—or face further consequences.
