Nayagarh (21/04): (Reported by Sanatan Mahakud): A five-day mandal-level teachers' training camp, Nishtha, was successfully conducted at Baman Abas Sarkari Uchha Vidyalaya in Itamati, Nayagarh. Organized by the Nayagarh District Education Department, the program aimed to enhance teaching methodologies and promote inclusive education in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. A total of 56 teachers and trainees from various schools across the district participated in the event.
The training was held under the supervision of Additional District Education Officer (ADEO) of Nayagarh, Dhaneswar Sethi. Resource persons including Pabitra Swain, Birendra Kumar Swain, Mrutyunjay Sadangi, Pranati Mahapatra, and Jhilmili Sahu facilitated the sessions. The program emphasized creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student is respected and valued. Discussions revolved around equitable education, fostering unity in diversity, and adopting student-friendly teaching techniques.
As part of the program, the teachers also presented a short play titled "Mu kie?" (Who Am I?) to demonstrate innovative teaching methods using simple yet effective educational tools. The play highlighted the importance of self-identity and inclusive learning, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
The camp successfully equipped teachers with modern pedagogical approaches, ensuring better implementation of NEP 2020 in classrooms. Such initiatives are expected to bring transformative changes in the education system, fostering a more inclusive and engaging learning environment for students.
