Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has set an ambitious goal to invest ₹91,000 crore over the next three years to repair deteriorating roads and build new ones as part of a big drive to improve road connectivity. The Public Works Department (PWD) is spearheading this effort to improve the state's transit system so that residents may travel more easily.

The Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) has been tasked by the state government to evaluate PWD-controlled roads with an emphasis on improved road conditions.
