Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi chaired a high-level cabinet meeting to review the performance of various departments, emphasising budget utilisation and the implementation of welfare schemes. The review focused on accelerating development initiatives and ensuring optimal expenditure as per the 2024-25 budget allocations. 
Strict Budget Utilisation Directives
During the meeting, CM Majhi conducted a detailed assessment of departmental expenditures and instructed underperforming departments to align their spending with the allocated budget targets. Review of Key Welfare Programs
The meeting extensively discussed the progress of crucial public welfare schemes, including:- Healthcare & Infrastructure Development: Strengthening public health services and improving healthcare infrastructure.
- Social Security Initiatives: Ensuring the effective rollout of schemes like the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Subhadra Yojana to benefit the needy.
- Housing for the Underprivileged: Reviewing progress under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, aimed at providing permanent housing to economically weaker sections.
- Education & School Upgradation: Enhancing facilities in government schools and modernising the education sector.
- Cold Storage & Agricultural Support: Expanding Shital Bhandar cold storage facilities to support farmers and reduce post-harvest losses.
- Connectivity & Infrastructure: Fast-tracking bridge construction and road connectivity projects to boost transportation.

A significant highlight of the meeting was the discussion on the "Viksit Odisha Vision Document", which outlines strategic developmental initiatives.
