Bhubaneswar: The Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur recently hosted an inaugural ceremony to begin its new academic session. The institute welcomed the second batch of students for its four-year Bachelor of Science programs. These undergraduate programs offer two distinct specializations. The first specialisation is Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The second specialisation is Management and Public Policy. The new academic batch will complete their studies between the years 2026 and 2030. The institute organised this welcome event at the Konark Auditorium located on the campus. 
The event featured Dr. Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi as the chief guest. Dr. Sarangi serves as a member of the National Human Rights Commission and holds the position of an honorable judge. He delivered a keynote address to the incoming students. During his speech, he advised the students about their future roles in society. He asked the students to focus on ethical leadership and constitutional values. He also highlighted the need for social responsibility in their daily lives. Furthermore, Dr. Sarangi encouraged the students to maintain a strong commitment to public service.
