NAYAGARH, (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): The Rotary Club of Nayagarh successfully organised its 37th installation ceremony. The club held this grand event yesterday inside the Rotary Bhavan. Many people attended the programme to celebrate the new leadership. The ceremony marked the official beginning of the new Rotary year for 2026 and 2027. During this event, the club welcomed its new leaders who will guide future social service projects. 
Rotarian Basudev Sahoo officially took charge as the new President of the club. Rotarian Dillip Mishra took on the role of the new Secretary. The outgoing leaders gracefully handed over their duties to the new team. Outgoing President Rotarian Basiran Bibi and outgoing Secretary Rotarian Avinash Sahoo passed on the leadership responsibilities on the stage. Earlier in the programme, Basiran Bibi delivered a warm welcome speech to greet all the guests and members. After that, Avinash Sahoo read a detailed report. He highlighted the successful social service activities the club completed during the 2025 and 2026 Rotary year.
The new leaders shared their exciting plans for the future. President Basudev Sahoo explained his clear mission and vision for the upcoming year. Secretary Dillip Mishra announced the action plan. He spoke about the specific service projects they will organise to help the local community.
The event featured several important guests. Rotarian Jayashree Mohanty, the former Governor of Rotary District 3262, attended the event as the Chief Guest. She highly praised the club for its continuous dedication to social work. Mrs. Nirupama Khatei, the Chairperson of Nayagarh Municipality, and Rotarian Bipra Charan Patra, the Rotary District Assistant Governor, also joined the stage as Guests of Honor.
The Rotary Club of Nayagarh also expanded its family during the ceremony. Three new members officially joined the organisation. The new members are Chinmaya Patnaik, Ashutosh Patra, and Gunanidhi Satapathy. Chief Guest Jayashree Mohanty warmly welcomed them. She attached Rotary pins to their shirts to make them official members of the global Rotary network.
Furthermore, the club always supports education and young talent. During the ceremony, the club leaders honored several bright students from the Rotary family. These students achieved great success in their educational fields this year. The leaders awarded special prizes to Tathastu Kumar Nayak, Aditya Omkar Mishra, K. A. Vaishnavi, and Anwesh Dash.
The ceremony brought many Rotary clubs together. Members from Rotary Clubs in Bhanjanagar, Phulbani, Banapur-Balugaon, and Bhubaneswar traveled to Nayagarh to attend the event. They congratulated the new President and Secretary and wished them a successful year ahead. Rotarian Prabir Prusty managed the stage and smoothly anchored the entire programme. Finally, Rotarian Debashish Patnaik delivered the vote of thanks. He thanked all the guests, members, and volunteers for making the 37th installation ceremony a complete success.
