A sudden panic has gripped the public, and many fear a severe fuel shortage. However, the state government has stepped in quickly. Officials ask citizens to stay calm. They confirm that the state currently has plenty of fuel in stock.

The recent conflict in the Middle East has directly affected India. This global issue has caused local fuel prices to rise. Both petrol and diesel prices have gone up by three rupees per liter. Earlier, the central government issued warnings about possible global impacts. Leaders also took steps to save fuel. For example, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reduced the number of cars in his official convoy by half. When people noticed these actions, rumors of a fuel crisis spread quickly. This fear led to huge, desperate crowds at local gas stations.

Immediate Government Action

The state government noticed the growing panic and took immediate action. Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krishna Chandra Patra called an urgent meeting. He met with top representatives from major oil companies at the state secretariat. The minister directed the companies to maintain a steady fuel supply. He asked them to put the needs of the public first. He wants to ensure that every petrol pump receives enough fuel without any delay.

Assurances from Oil Companies

Officials from leading oil companies attended the crucial meeting. These attendees included Indian Oil State Head Kamal Sil, HPCL representative Ashish Pandey, and BPCL representative Deepak Agarwal. They promised the minister that they will fix any local supply problems immediately. The oil company leaders sent a clear message to the public. They stated that the state has a vast amount of petrol and diesel ready for use. They requested people not to panic. They also asked citizens not to hoard fuel or buy more than they normally need.
