South Africa won the coin toss and chose to bowl first. The Indian team scored 157 runs for 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur led the Indian batters. She scored 47 runs and remained not out. Ayabonga Khaka bowled exceptionally well for South Africa. She took three wickets and earned the Player of the Match award. Tumi Sekhukhune took two wickets, and Nonkululeko Mlaba took one wicket.

South Africa's Chase

South Africa needed 158 runs to win the game. They reached this target in 19.1 overs. Laura Wolvaardt led the chase and scored 51 runs. Annerie Dercksen played a strong game at the end. She scored 44 runs, stayed not out, and helped finish the match.
