BHANJANAGAR, APRIL 3: (Report- Jaya Krishna Patnaik): The Ganjam District Police celebrated Police Formation Day by paying a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. During a special event, Ganjam Superintendent of Police (SP) Suvendu Kumar Patra honored the memory of Martyr Trilochan Bisoyi, a hero from Badapathara village in the Bhanjanagar block.

A Hero’s Sacrifice Remembered

Trilochan Bisoyi lost his life in the line of duty in 1998. To mark this occasion, several high-ranking officials traveled to his native village on Thursday afternoon. The group included:
  • Suvendu Kumar Patra, Ganjam SP
  • Vipasha Parul, South Ghumusar Divisional Forest Officer (DFO)
  • Ranjan Kumar De, Additional SP of Bhanjanagar
  • Dr. Deepak Kumar Mishra, SDPO
  • Jibanananda Jena, Bhanjanagar IIC
The officials visited the martyr's home and offered floral tributes to his photograph. They spent time with the family members to discuss their well-being and listen to their concerns.
SP Suvendu Kumar Patra emphasized that the Odisha Police will never forget the ultimate sacrifice made by Trilochan. He assured the family that the department stands firmly with them. He also promised that the police would take all necessary steps to ensure the family receives every government benefit and support they deserve.

Enhancing Public Service at Bhanjanagar Police Station

Following the visit to the martyr's home, the SP moved to the Bhanjanagar Police Station. He inaugurated a brand-new Reception Center designed to make the station more welcoming for the public.
The SP praised the station staff for maintaining a clean and green environment. He noted that a "green and beautiful" atmosphere helps build a better relationship between the police and the community.
Before concluding his visit, Mr. Patra held a meeting with the police officers and staff on duty. He discussed their daily work routines and encouraged them to continue their service with dedication and transparency. The entire staff of the Bhanjanagar Police Station supported the day's events, ensuring a successful tribute to their fallen colleague and a positive step forward for local law enforcement.
