Nuapada: March 25 (Report by Malaya Meher): Following allegations of the illegal use of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes, the Supply Department conducted a major enforcement raid in the Nuapada district. During the operation, a total of 11 domestic LPG cylinders were seized from various hotels and restaurants across the town.

The raid was carried out under the leadership of Nuapada ACSO (Headquarters), Mrs. Purnasha Bhoi. The enforcement squad was assisted by the Nuapada Block Supply Inspector, Mrs. Subhashree Das, and the Komna Block Supply Inspector, Mr. Purnachandra Raut.
During the inspection, clear evidence was found that several hotels were using domestic LPG cylinders for commercial activities, which is a direct violation of government regulations. Consequently, the cylinders were immediately confiscated.
The administration has issued a stern warning that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in such illegal practices in the future. All hotel owners and business operators have been directed to strictly adhere to the rules and use only commercial LPG cylinders.
The raid has caused a noticeable stir among hotel operators in the town, and sources indicate that such enforcement drives will be intensified in the coming days.
