NAYAGARH: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): To honor the ultimate sacrifice of India’s freedom fighters, "MY Bharat Nayagarh" and the "Seba Utsav Samiti" organised a special Martyrs' Day program. The event paid tribute to the bravery of Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar, whose death anniversary is observed across the nation as Martyrs' Day (Shaheed Diwas).
Highlights of the Event
The tribute in Nayagarh is a two-day event. On the first day, volunteers gathered at Balangibandh to participate in a "Shramdan" (voluntary labor) program. This initiative focused on community service and local development.
The program was led by Shivaram Mohapatra, Chairman of the Seba Samiti. Several prominent figures attended the event, including:
- Santosh Pradhan (BJP Leader)
- Sanjay Nayak (President, BJP District Krushak Morcha)
- Basant Pattnaik (Social Activist)
Community Support and Next Steps
Members of the Seba Samiti and the Debadutta Seba Parishad managed the day's activities. The organizers also announced that the tribute will continue tomorrow.
A grand foot march (Padyatra) is scheduled to take place through Nayagarh town to inspire the youth and keep the memory of the martyrs alive.
