BAHADAJHOLA: (Report- Ashok Kumar Sahoo): The Alumni Association of Bahadajhola High School celebrated its 61st annual function today. The event took place on the school premises under the leadership of the association's permanent president, Dr. Sushil Kumar Mohapatra. Hundreds of former students and current teachers attended the gathering.
Special Felicitation: Alumni from the batches of 1966 and 1967 received floral bouquets and ceremonial scarves.
Student Awards: The association gave cash prizes to top performers from the 2025 Board Exams. Sushil Kumar Sahu received an award for the highest total marks and top scores in Science and English. Rajendra Kumar Sahu received a prize for securing the highest marks in Mathematics.
Highlights of the Event
The program began with a group song and the lighting of the traditional lamp by Dr. Mohapatra. Several key members managed the proceedings:- Shri Rajendra Kumar Senapati (Executive President) led the stage activities.
- Shri Manoj Kumar Senapati (Secretary) presented the annual report.
- Smt. Amulya Bala Patnaik recited an original poem to mark International Women’s Day and displayed her published books.
- Teachers and alumni performed devotional songs to create a spiritual atmosphere.

Future Plans and Development
School Headmaster Shri Suresh Sahu discussed the current facilities and challenges facing the institution. To support the school's growth, the members proposed the following:- Sub-Committee Formation: A new committee featuring two alumni and the Headmaster will work on securing government grants.
- Academic Support: The group proposed starting special tutorial classes to help current students clear their academic doubts.
- Infrastructure: Members spontaneously agreed to donate funds to build a "Golden Jubilee Hall" on campus.
