NAYAGARH: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): The Sri Ramakrishna Adarsha Shikshakendra, located near the Housing Board in Nayagarh, recently celebrated its 21st annual day along with the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event was organised under the leadership of the school’s founding secretary, Shridhar Sahoo.

A Grand Procession
The celebrations began at 9:00 AM with a massive colorful procession. Eng. Debashish Patnaik, Chairperson of the Nayagarh Zilla Parishad, flagged off the rally from the Hanuman Temple on Khandapada Road. The march continued to the Sri Jagannath Temple.Several local organisations joined the event to show their support, including:
- Swami Vivekananda Loka Sansad
- Bharat Bikash Parishad
- Rotary Club
- Nayagarh District Chemist and Druggist Association
- Civil Society and the Pujyapuja Committee
Cultural and Academic Excellence
Following the rally, students performed various cultural programs at the school's new building. During the formal meeting, Rajya Sabha MP Debashish Samantaray attended as the chief guest.In his speech, Mr. Samantaray emphasized that "physical education is the key to academic success."
He urged parents and teachers to focus on the physical health of children. He also described Swami Vivekananda as the soul of India and a true inspiration for today's youth.
The event concluded with a play titled "Ebebi Samaya Achhi" (There is Still Time), written by the school secretary. The program was coordinated by teachers and students, and Joint Secretary Santosh Kumar Nayak offered the final vote of thanks.

Honoring Top Achievers
The school recognised several students and local personalities for their outstanding achievements Biswabijita Mohanty, a Class 7 student who won first place in a state-level debate competition organised by the Odisha Sahitya Academy. Hanimesh Dakua, honored for securing an 'A1' grade in the Matriculation exams.
