DASPALLA: (Report- Subash Chandra Barik): The Taluk Legal Services Committee recently organised an awareness program focused on the protection of women at the workplace. The event took place within the court premises and aimed to educate people about the prevention, prohibition, and redressal of such issues.

Key Highlights of the Event

The program was chaired by Aishwarya Devmalini, who is the Chairperson of the Taluk Legal Services Committee and a First Class Judicial Magistrate. Several legal experts and social workers joined the session to share their insights.
  • Legal Guidance: Senior lawyers Sarat Chandra Behera, Birendra Nayak, and Krishnachandra Das explained the legal rights available to women.
  • Social Perspective: Social worker Sarat Kumar Sahu discussed the importance of a safe working environment.
  • Coordination: Lawyer Bajendra Kumar Behera managed and coordinated the meeting.

The event saw active participation from Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs), female professionals from various organisations, and office staff. During the session, participants like Saudamini Mishra and Jayanti Das shared their personal experiences and talked about how these legal awareness programs benefit working women.
