Daspalla: (Report - Subash Chandra Barik): A village-level awareness camp about the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (Free Electricity Scheme) took place recently. The Project Adhokar, Daspalla, organised the event. It was held in the Gram Panchayat meeting hall in Banigocha.
The village Sarpanch, Smt. Sasmita Mahankud, presided over the meeting.
Active Participation from Villagers
Many people attended the event. Local MBKs (Master Book Keepers), CRPs (Community Resource Persons), ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and other villagers actively participated in the discussion.
Mr. Prabhat Kumar Sahoo, the Project Adhikari, spoke first. He explained the program's objectives, its procedures, and the overall work of the Project Adhikaar. He also highlighted the success of the Project Adhikaar's joint initiative with TPCODL and the Mahashakti Foundation. Mr. Sahoo then stressed the importance of the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Scheme.
Benefits of Solar Energy Discussed
Representatives from TPCODL attended as chief guests and speakers. They included Mr. Saroj Sahoo, Mr. Kanhu Charan Dandpat, Mr. Saroj Kumar Bhoi, and Mr. Jitendra Sethi.
They gave a detailed explanation of using solar energy. They also discussed the benefits, rules, and necessity of the Surya Ghar Scheme. They stated that this scheme will definitely help bring economic prosperity to poor people in rural areas.
Smt. Manini Nayak, an Adhikaar Mitra, concluded the session. She affirmed that the scheme will support villagers financially. Finally, she thanked everyone for attending.
