DASPALLA, September 24, 2025: (Report- Subash Chandra Barik): The "Sustha Nari Sustha Paribar" (Healthy Woman, Healthy Family) campaign, a nationwide initiative, has been successfully implemented across multiple locations in the Daspalla block. These health camps provided essential medical services and promoted health awareness among rural communities.
The campaign, which began on September 17 under the auspices of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, will run until October 2nd across the country. Local health centers in the Daspalla block actively participated, organizing a series of events to ensure maximum public participation.
A dedicated team of medical professionals ensured the smooth delivery of services. The team included Dr. Siddhanta Dash (Pediatric Specialist), Ayurvedic Dr. Kaliprasad Sadangi, Dr. Rakesh Dash (Physiotherapist), Pharmacist Sushil Pradhan, Nursing Officer Shubhankar Mishra, and multi-purpose female health worker Smt. Sumitra Dehuri. All ASHA sisters played a crucial role in facilitating the services for the public.
The program combined health check-ups with vital awareness messages. Dr. Siddhanta Dash addressed the gathering and urged everyone to prioritize their health. He advised people to avoid blind faith and superstitious practices, emphasizing the importance of seeking professional medical advice for any health concerns. The event also promoted the slogan, "A clean woman is the pride of her home; a clean mother leads to a clean family," encouraging community-wide hygiene practices.
The health check-up and medicine distribution program continued throughout the day, concluding smoothly at 6:00 PM. All responsible staff and officials cooperated effectively. Approximately 200 members of the public registered and received health check-ups at the Banigochha camp.

Health Mela Inaugurated at Banigochha
On the morning of September 24th, a significant health camp commenced at the Banigochha Primary Healthcare Center. Dr. Vishwajit Nayak led the event. The esteemed Chief Guest, Smt. Parallel Events at Chadeyapallli and Nuagaon
A similar health camp was organized at the Chadeyapallli Primary Healthcare Center on September 23rd under the leadership of Dr. (Smt.) Raj Shri Sahu. The Chief Guest for this event was Shri Kishore Chandra Dalabehera, the MP Representative for Kandhamal for the Daspalla block.During his address, Shri Dalabehera echoed the call for health consciousness. He urged the community to take responsibility for their well-being, get regular check-ups, and rely on scientific medicine instead of unproven traditional remedies. The event saw strong support from the local health workers.
Later the same day, at 10:30 AM, another camp was held at the Nuagaon Health Center. Dr. Shri Naba Krishna Sahu, a Gynecology and Obstetrics specialist, presided over the function. Shri Dalabehera also attended this event as the Chief Guest. The program received excellent support from ASHA workers, Anganwadi sisters, Malaria workers, and all other staff members.
The coordination for the Nuagaon Health Center camp was managed by its In-charge, Shri Dilip Kumar Pradhan, with support from the Malaria worker. At the Chadeyapallli center, Pharmacist Shri Kundan Kumar Sahu handled the coordination. Combined, these two camps successfully provided health check-ups and registration for over 300 people.
These coordinated efforts in the Daspalla block have significantly contributed to raising health awareness and providing accessible medical services, aligning with the national mission for a healthier India.
