Daspalla: (Report- Subash Chandra Barik): A crucial new initiative, the "Healthy Women, Strong Family" campaign, is set to begin in the Daspalla block, aiming to improve community health by focusing on the well-being of women. This timely program recognizes that women are the foundation of a thriving society and that their health is directly linked to the strength and happiness of their families.
Women play an indispensable role in managing the home, caring for the family, and supporting the community. However, their own health is often neglected. This campaign directly addresses this issue. A healthy woman can nurture not only herself but also transform the entire health and vitality of her household. The well-being of mothers directly impacts child nutrition, the overall joy of the family, and the construction of a robust society.
Healthy Women, Strong Families: Key to a Thriving Daspalla

The primary goals of the campaign are to reduce serious health challenges faced by women. These include combating maternal mortality, addressing malnutrition, fighting anemia, and preventing various gynecological diseases. By spreading awareness and providing resources, the initiative hopes to create a significant positive change in the region.
The program is scheduled to run from September 17th to October 2nd. For it to be truly successful, the message must reach every village and every family. Officials believe that a collaborative effort is essential. This means government drives must work alongside social organizations, local schools, youth groups, and self-help communities. Only a united approach can turn this vision into a tangible reality.
In preparation for the launch, a planning meeting was held at the Madhyakhanda Community Health Center. The meeting saw participation from key local figures, including Block Representative Kishore Chandra Dalbehera, Daspalla Block Chairperson Sunanda Sahu, Zilla Parishad Member Basant Kumar Pradhan, and Madhyakhanda Sarpanch Sasmita Pradhan. Community Health Officer Sandeep Swain, BPO Tushar Ranjan Sahoo, and local ASHA workers were also present to contribute to the planning.
However, a notable observation from this meeting was the very low attendance of women. This is a significant concern for a program specifically designed for their benefit. The low turnout has sparked discussion among community members. Some residents are questioning whether government funds allocated for such important programs are being used effectively and whether the initiatives truly reach the intended beneficiaries.
Healthy Women, Strong Families: Key to a Thriving Daspalla

The success of the "Healthy Women, Strong Family" campaign now hinges on overcoming this initial hurdle. Organizers must find better ways to engage women directly, ensuring they are active participants in a movement built for their empowerment and health. The hope is that in the coming weeks, the campaign will successfully connect with the women of Daspalla, empowering them to build healthier and stronger families.
