Bhubaneswar, August 22: (Report- Sanatan Mahakud): The capital city of Odisha is preparing to host the 4th National Translators Conference on the special occasion of World Translation Day, which is celebrated every year on September 30. The event is being organised by Bharatiya Anuvaad Sahitya and will bring together translators, writers, researchers, and literature enthusiasts from across India. 
In the run-up to the conference, the organising committee recently conducted an online executive meeting to review the preparations. Translators and representatives from several states, including Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Gujarat, joined the meeting. They actively shared their suggestions and ideas to make the event more engaging and impactful.
According to the organisers, this year’s conference will feature a rich programme highlighting the importance of translation in literature and culture. The key attractions will include panel discussions on the role of translation in bridging languages, recitations of translated poems, and presentations of research papers by scholars.
