Bhawanipatna: Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Balaji Vihar, Bhawanipatna, celebrated Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm. The event honored educators and highlighted the importance of their contributions to society.
The celebration was graced by the presence of Shri Vijay Kumar Patra, a retired English teacher and social worker, who attended as the chief guest. Joining him as a distinguished guest was S. V. Lakshmi. The school's committee members, including Suresh Chandra Sahu, the school secretary, and Girija Shankar Sahu, the joint secretary, were also present. Principal Dasharathi Panda led the inauguration by lighting the lamp in front of the goddess Saraswati, symbolizing the light of knowledge.
The event marked Teachers' Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India's second President and a renowned educationist. Students participated in the occasion by offering flowers as a tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan, underlining the significance of Teachers' Day.
