Odagaon Scouts and Guides Shine with State Awards
Odagaon (18/7): In a proud moment for the community, Scouts and Guides students from various schools in Odagaon received State Award certificates for their outstanding achievements in the academic year 2023-24. The ceremony took place at the Radhakanta Government Girls High School, with Dr. Jalandhar Rath, the principal, leading the event.

The program started with the Scouts and Guides students singing their prayer, the flag song, and the national anthem. This was followed by the distribution of the State Award certificates. The chief guest for the event was Rabindra Kumar Nayak, the State Coordinator of Odisha State Bharat Scouts and Guides and an Additional Block Education Officer. Other honored guests included Scoutmasters Panchanan Panda, Ranjan Kumar Dash, and Santosh Kumar Sahoo, as well as Guide Captains Saudamini Mohapatra and Jyotiswita Dash. Several dedicated teachers, such as Ramesh Chandra Sahoo and Barsha Rani Swain, were also present.

This event wasn't just about receiving awards; it highlighted the importance of community service. The students were encouraged to participate in activities like cleanliness drives, tree plantation, providing drinking water, and helping people during natural disasters. The guests also emphasized the importance of doing one good deed every day and keeping a record of it.

A total of 34 Cubs and Bulbuls from the Government Primary School, Bilamanpur, Government Primary School, Odagaon, and Sri Aurobindo Educational Center, Odagaon, received the prestigious certificates. Additionally, 23 Guides from Radhakanta Government Girls High School, Odagaon, were honored with the State Award certificates by the esteemed guests. 

This event was a wonderful celebration of the hard work and dedication of the Scouts and Guides students, and it inspired everyone to continue serving the community with enthusiasm and kindness.
