Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 37th National Games in Goa, celebrating India's sporting excellence. The event, held from October 26 to November 9, saw over 10,000 athletes competing in 43 sports disciplines across 28 venues. In his address, PM Modi highlighted India's recent sports achievements, emphasizing the nation's commitment to promoting a sporting culture since 2014.

He praised Goa's contribution to Indian sports and its love for football. The Prime Minister discussed India's success in recent international events, breaking records and inspiring young athletes. He stressed that India's sports ecosystem has evolved, with increased investment, initiatives like Khelo India, and the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) to nurture and train athletes.

PM Modi connected the progress in sports to India's overall development, citing several achievements across various domains. He introduced 'MY Bharat,' a platform to empower Indian youth and align them with national schemes.

Additionally, the Prime Minister expressed India's aspiration to host the Youth Olympics in 2030 and the Olympics in 2036, citing economic and infrastructure growth as key factors. He viewed the National Games as a symbol of unity among states and commended Goa's preparations and modern infrastructure.

PM Modi concluded by urging athletes to give their best and officially inaugurated the 37th National Games. Dignitaries including the Governor and Chief Minister of Goa, the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, and the President of the Indian Olympic Association attended the event.
