NAYAGARH, May 15: (Report- Ramakrushna Rath): The All Utkal Lower Secondary Teachers Association (AULSTA) is preparing for a major event. The organisation will host its 32nd state-level constitutional conference soon. Alongside this conference, the members will also observe the 37th death anniversary of the respected teacher Banamali Brahmachari. The organisers will hold this two-day mega event on the 5th and 6th of the upcoming month. They chose the Pathani Samanta Sanskruti Bhawan in Nayagarh as the venue for this grand gathering.
The association expects a massive turnout for this conference. Around 1,000 to 1,200 teacher representatives will travel from all 30 districts of Odisha to attend the program. To ensure the complete success of this massive event, the leaders held their first preparatory meeting today. The members gathered at the Sinduria High School, located on the outskirts of Nayagarh, during the morning hours. Jagabandhu Jena, the chief advisor of the association, chaired this important meeting.
During the meeting, the members made several key decisions. They decided to organise a special educational seminar during the main conference. This seminar will cover many important topics related to learning and teaching. Experts will discuss the general education system in the state. They will also review the current status of primary education across Odisha. Furthermore, the speakers will talk about the Right to Education Act and various problems within the education sector.
The seminar discussions will also explore broader themes. The teachers will talk about the history and future of the teachers' movement. They will explore the connection between the right to education and democratic movements. The agenda also includes discussions on education and the constitution, child rights, and the overall development of education in modern times. During this grand occasion, the organisation will release a special conference edition of their official magazine, 'Sikshak Darpan'.
Managing over a thousand guests requires careful planning. Therefore, the committee members held extensive discussions regarding the event logistics. They planned the accommodation and food arrangements for all the visiting teacher representatives. Many important figures attended this preparatory meeting. Advisor Amar Bilas Behera and Rajkumar Sahoo shared their valuable thoughts. General Secretary Sukant Kumar Behera, Joint General Secretary Sudarshan Swain, and Treasurer Judhisthir Pradhan actively participated in the planning process.
